Well, I enjoyed my Mother's Day. The kids made me cards in church and Kylie made me a special book. Apparently I like to exercise a lot and enjoy fishing (?) as well as being very silly. I love it. I had to give my very first talk in church today. I had escaped that particular chore for over 15 years and I ran out of excuses! Luckily, Aunt Chantel, Uncle McKay, Aunt Kendra and Uncle Jake came and sat with Kylie and Hayden while I was sitting up front. (The bishop offered to have the kids sit with me up there, but that was a big NOPE!) Apparently Hayden was having a hard time and this is how he fell asleep:
After my lovely short talk the primary kids came up to sing and I got a big hug from Kylie while she was up there! After sacrament the Aunts and Uncles had to leave and I got to teach my primary class. (Can't catch a break!)
The rest of the week was no school, due to Kindergarten testing. Kylie had her test, or assessment, on Monday morning and she rocked it. It was nice to get it out of the way first while she still remembered things versus later in the week.
We spent the week swimming, playing with friends, going to parks, and even a birthday party! Kylie's friend from school had her party at the Dinosaur Park and while it was kinda windy and rainy, the kids still had tons of fun.
Later that night Aunt Chantel and Uncle McKay came to babysit while I went to the required Divorce Class. I was bored there, but Chantel kept me updated via Snapchat of all their shenanigans- like Hayden wanting milk in his lettuce topped with ranch and salt and pepper.
On Saturday Brandon took the kids for a sleepover and they were so excited. He had just moved to a new house that was fully furnished and had bunk beds in one of the rooms. He is closer now, too, which makes the drive over much nicer.
