A New Year!

We had a busy week full of boring things.  Lots of cleaning and errand running trying to get everything settled after our trip.  Plus it was super cold so we couldn't do anything outside.  Luckily we have lots of new things to do thanks to Christmas.  Kylie is having trouble sharing, though.  While most of the toys are actually Hayden's, Kylie doesn't realize anything beyond "mine".  So it's been kinda rough getting her to share.  She also will take all the toys and hoard them away so Hayden can't play with them.  Sigh... it's aggravating!

Hayden has been relatively easy to deal with when it comes to Kylie taking all his toys.  He does have a slight cold right now, with a very runny nose, so that hasn't been very fun.  His new favorite thing to do is help empty the dishwasher.  I remember when Kylie first started doing that!  He is so cute when he tries to help!

I finally got an ABC book made for Kylie this past week.  It's just a normal Preschool workbook in sheet protectors so she can use a dry-erase marker on it over and over.  We have been doing one or two letters a day while Hayden is sleeping.  She really likes working in it and doing something fun together!

On Friday I took the kids to Jumpin' Jacks to play, since we have been cooped up in the house all week.  It was Hayden's first time and it took him a while to warm up to it, but once he got the hang of it he really enjoyed it!

Kylie had fun running around playing with the other kids.  She managed to go down one slide by herself fine, but after that every time she climbed up to a slide she would freak out and not come down.  She would just sit up there and cry and cry and I'd have to go rescue her (which was hard because I am a little too tall for these things, plus I couldn't just leave Hayden alone at the bottom.)  So after she pulled that stunt twice we left.

Ah kids are so exciting and certainly keep me on my toes!  Well, here is to a new year and lots of growing for these little two monsters!  Today will be Kylie's first day as a Sunbeam, and I am excited to see how that goes!
