This past weekend we got to see Grandma Shari, Grandpa Gary, and Great-Grandma and Grandpa Naylor!! Kylie and Hayden were soooo excited to have Grandma and Grandpa here to play with them and they sure took advantage of it!
Friday night Grandma Shari and Grandpa Gary babysat Hayden and Kylie while Brandon and I went out on a date (which we don't get to do very often!). They had tons of fun going for a walk and playing with them before bedtime.
Saturday afternoon everyone came by again and we had some fun. Hayden liked trying on Grandpa Gary's hat.
Also Hayden was super cute watching Brandon play on his tablet. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures!
Then we went on a hike with everyone. It was the same one we went on a few weeks ago that is pretty easy for the kids. Everyone had a good time and we got lots of pictures with everyone!
That night we all went out to dinner at Chuck-a-rama and everyone had a great time. We are so glad they were able to come down and visit us! We had tons of fun and can't wait to see everyone again!!!
**More pictures to be added after I get ahold of Grandma Shari's Pictures!***

President's Day Weekend!
So last Sunday was still a struggle with Kylie and Primary. Brandon had to sit through almost both classes with her! Ughhhh... I hope this doesn't last much longer! After church we decided to go out to Zion's, because it was a free entry day thanks to President's Day on Monday.
The kids both got a nap in on the way to Zion's, so they were both refreshed for the hike! We did a simple one down to Emerald Pools and walked under some small waterfalls and got a little wet!! The whole way was paved, but there was a steep drop off on one side practically the whole way, so Hayden didn't get to walk much. But when he did get to explore he just loved it!
The waterfalls weren't more than just a drizzle, but it sure made everything muddy!
Afterwards we had a little snack at the park before driving through the super long tunnel (which Kylie enjoyed!) and then heading home for dinner. It was lots of fun to go, though super busy (Zion's had record breaking entry for that weekend), but I am glad we went when it was free because with small kids it's hard to spend the whole day outside hiking.
On Tuesday we went to a park to play and for a while Hayden and Kylie just wanted to play in the giant fireplace they had there. I wasn't too happy because they got covered in ashes! Luckily kids are easy to clean!
Afterwards we came home and had some snacks while watching Toy Story. Seeing Hayden and Kylie sit together like this was so cute!! I just love when they get along!!

Kylie is getting really good at posing for pictures now. Most of the time we get her waving, but sometimes she sticks out her hip and others we get a goofy face!

Happy Valentine's Day
If you remember, we were all kinda sick last weekend. Hayden and I still have our runny noses, but Kylie's cleared up within 2 days. The weather down here has been gorgeous, though, so we have been ignoring our colds and going outside a lot.
Sunday afternoon we went on a family hike. Hayden walked practically the whole time and everyone had a blast!
The hike ended near a pool of water and of course both kids just stripped down immediately so they could get wet. Hayden even tripped and got totally soaked before he got his top off, so he had to go shirtless the way back!
All the way back Hayden was making monster growling noises and it was so cute! Though as soon as I tried to get a video of it he stopped. But he did keep talking and his baby talk is cute too!
On Monday we played outside again and we were dressed for summer! It has been hot down here! Is winter seriously over already?
This week Hayden has started throwing tantrums like no other. He now has a super high-pitched squeal he does all the time that sounds like a little piggy and it drives me nuts. On the flip side, he has started "Uh-Oh" and it is so amazingly adorable!
So, because of his tantruming, and also because Kylie is still pretty good at fighting with him/us too, we made a calming jar. Kylie helped me make it and I don't have a picture of the final project, but they love watching the jar full of glitter float around. So hopefully when they get upset we can sit down and just watch the glitter and calm down! (fingers crossed...)
On Friday we made some Valentine's cookies. When I spread the flour out on the counter both kids got so excited. I didn't even have to bring out the cookie dough, they would have been happy just playing with the flour! But they did enjoy cutting out cookies as well.
Later that day we delivered some Valentine cookies to some friends. Valentine's Day itself was actually pretty uneventful. We cleaned out the garage and ran a few errands. Super exciting!! Haha but it was fun anyway.

A Hard Week
Last Sunday was our first day of our new ward. They seem like nice people, and we do have at least some people from our last ward still with us, so hopefully things work out for the best. Kylie isn't having any of it, though. She was loving sunbeams in our last ward, but she did not want to go to Primary at all last Sunday. I think the combination of new building, new teachers, and new kids in her class made her super nervous. So I spent Primary with her in the back of the room, and then forced her in her Sunbeams class afterwards, which she wasn't too happy about. But both kids did look super cute for church that day!
Monday morning, dark and early, Kylie had her dental appointment. 6 AM - so she was still a little sleepy (though that didn't stop her from fighting off the dentist). Brandon took her and they were there for two hours getting lots of teeth worked on. Poor thing has apparently inherited our bad teeth genes... :(
They came home around 8.30 and for the rest of the morning she was supposed to lay down and take it easy, which she did for a while, and then she really wanted to walk around and she would just keep collapsing because the anesthesia was still wearing off. By 1 in the afternoon she was acting happy and normal again and eating soft foods! Ah to be a kid and to recover so quickly!
So for the next few days we stayed inside so Kylie could heal and then I got sick on Wednesday. Head cold. But it was soooo gorgeous outside so I bundled up and we went outside to play.
By Friday Hayden had caught my cold, but only had a runny nose it seems. It was also my birthday! (I'm super old now) We had a low key day and then went out to dinner with the family and had a nice time.
Saturday we went to a park and had a playdate with Kennedy and Acadia. The park we went to had a sand box and the kids just loved playing in it!
Later that night Hayden had his first lemon. He didn't seem too fazed by it, though he is starting to be super cautious of whatever Brandon gives him to eat.
So today Kylie finally got the runny nose, but we decided to try and go to church anyway. We made it through Sacrament, but she once again refused to go to Primary. Rather than fight with her, we just came home since she, Hayden and I all had a cold. It looks like she is going to need a few weeks of a parent sitting in Primary with her until she feels more comfortable there!
